Sunday Dinners

Facebook Dinner

Those video’s on Facebook are so tempting.  You know the ones…a full meal is presented to you in 25 seconds.   This morning I saw one that looked like it would be a hit, and decided to go for it.

It came from TipHero.   The link is here: Honey Dijon Chicken

Also worth mentioning is about 40 of my Facebook friends shared this video today.   Perhaps all of Suburbia was enjoying this for dinner.

The video should you watch it, calls to cook the potatoes and the broccoli in one pan in the oven all with the same “honey dijon” marinade.

I made an executive decision and prepared a separate broccoli dish.

Cheese Crusted Broccoli

One Bag of Microwaveable Broccoli (organic or other)

10 Cherry Tomatoes (organic or other) -cut in half.

Some type of bread crumb topping or corn flake topping (use your favorite or what you have handy)

1/2 cup Grated Romano Cheese (or what you have handy)

Olive Oil

Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Once the broccoli is microwaved, place them in a bowl with the cut tomatoes.  Toss with the oil and salt and pepper, and the cheese.

Pour into a oven safe baking dish and top with the bread crumb topping, then add some addition cheese.

Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes.  I put mine in with the chicken and potato dish from above on the lower shelf.

Side

Now back to my efforts with the  TipHero meal.   This is what mine came out like.   I really thought I would be making grilled cheese, however I am happy to report that everyone had seconds, and my husband is taking the left over for lunch.  So looks can be deceiving.
